I would have to say this list is very generous to a few players, and snubbed quite a few. If anybody can beat Gretzky, it would only be Yzerman. HAd Bowman not been so concerned with Yzerman's defensive play, he would have been on track for over 900 career goals. Oh well, one can only? wonder now. But nonetheless, Gretzky was, is, and always will be the #1 goal scorer.

On pure talent or skill your right, Bossy wasn't even in their league, however he was a great goal scorer. And neither Mario or Wayne had 9 consecutive 50 goal seasons. ? Mike Bossy was a sniper.

First off, this is a good video, don't be a hater. You could put these guy's in any order, and you'd come up with the same thing, "Great? Players." Fun to have watched, and to bad they are retired now. However, I will add that Mike Bossy had 9 consecutive 50 goal seasons and only played 10 years with the New York Islanders which no other player has beaten. Wayne Gretzky is tied with him at 9, 50 goal seasons, but they are not consecutive. He missed a year back in 1987-88.

@ThwizzitVids The only statistic I would argue there would be the goals per game average. He only played 10 seasons. Had he played beyond age 30 you can bet his average goes down, most likely anyways. Injuries, age, etc etc all take affect. It's like if Selanne retired after his rookie season, he would average 76 goals per season, but would that be fair? Bossy's got more credibility than that because he did it for 10 but you see my point. Though he is still one of the best and in the top? few

Lemieux had WAY more goal scoring potential just because of the way he could dangle past 5 players. You people are stupid because you look at stats. If they played the same amount of games mario would? have beaten out Gretzky by a mile. Gretzky is even on record saying he wishes he had half the talent that mario lemieux did.

@tankergeddert based on Lemieux's style, ie going through players, injuries were inevitable. He missed plenty of games prior to cancer. One can say if this or that occurred then player x would have Gretzky's records, but at the end of the day,? Gretzky still holds the records, and there are no ifs in that statement. For s**ts & giggles, Lemieux's highest goals per game in a season=1.15; Gretzky's highest = 1.18...his second highest=1.15.

@Luminous72 mario lemieux would have crushed gretzky's records if not for his injury. everyone knows that. just because some one has more goals because they were healthy more doesn't make them a better goal scorer. (not to mention the league? basically added a if you hit gretzky it's a penalty rule)
